Pastor Rick was raised in Portland, and graduated from Parkrose High School, not far from our church. Ministry has taken him to Hawaii, California, Washington and Oregon for the past 45 years. Pastor has been married to his dear help meet Sally for 35 years, they have raised 4 children and cherish 4 little grand angels. He is a graduate of golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (now Gateway). Having spent 18 years of ministry in Hawaii, you might get a hug in Happy Valley, should visit. He is now working on his 3rd year of ministry here in our church.

Sue has attended HVBC for more than 45 years. She and her husband Dan raised their 3 girls here and now bring their grandkids as often as possible. Sue has been a youth leader, AWANA games leader, served on Women's Ministry, etc. Currently, Sue serves as secretary, music director, AWANA secretary, church clerk and where ever else she is needed.
